When I first took a look at this beautiful painting I was taken back by the color brilliance. My first thought was, I MUST PULL THIS COLOR OUT IN THE MATING!
So I took my watercolor paper and cut it into strips. I also took this fun black paper with a light silver pattern and cut that up as well….
My thought was to wrap this paper around a 3 mm board to slightly pull the intense color out of the painting…
After wrapping the board I added a white mat that matched the watercolor paper and framed it with a sienna colored wood frame. I chose the sienna color to pull out the skin color of the woman in the painting because I wanted to keep it simple.
It’s hard to visualize, but this frame ended up being 2 feet by 5 feet. I was very happy with the results. Thanks for the trust with this beauty, Caroline!
